Maintenance Orders

Rooms in a hotel sometimes need to be taken out of service—marked as "Out of Order"—due to maintenance, repairs, or other operational reasons. This status prevents the rooms from being assigned to new reservations, ensuring that guests are only booked into available and fully functional accommodations. Managing out-of-order rooms effectively is essential for maintaining smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction.

Maintenance in the Room Plan

The process of creating a maintenance reservation is described in a separate article. When a maintenance is created for a room, it will be displayed on the room plan as a separate bar with a pink background and the label "Out of Order". The system also allows extending or shortening the maintenance order period directly on the room plan. When clicking on the maintenance bar, the system will redirect the user to the maintenance order mask to view additional details such as the current status, notes, and more.
